Riverside County baseball fans will be happy to learn that Albert Pujols isn’t the only new addition to the Angels’ lineup this year. New Friday night Metrolink train service from Riverside and Corona will now add to the excitement of visiting Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
The new service will be offered for Friday night games with the train leaving the Downtown Riverside Metrolink Station at 5:01 p.m. Subsequent stops will take place at Riverside-La Sierra, North Main Corona, West Corona, Anaheim Canyon and the train will arrive at the Orange Station at 6:10. Riders will then transfer to an Orange County line train that leaves at 6:16 p.m. and arrives at the train station located in the stadium parking lot at 6:20 p.m.
The train departs the Orange Station to Riverside 45 minutes after the game allowing fans to enjoy the fireworks show of Big Bang Fridays. Once again, riders will have to transfer to a Riverside-bound train at the Orange Station for the ride home.
