Programs to reduce the number of drive alone travelers on our roadways are an important part of Measure A, Riverside County’s half-cent sales tax for transportation.

Recognizing the value of providing alternatives to driving alone, RCTC offers a comprehensive multimodal approach to transportation that includes commuter assistance programs, commuter rail services, and public transit.

Motorist aid programs, including the Freeway Service Patrol and Call Boxes, not only provide an important safety net to travelers in Riverside County but also help to keep traffic moving.

IE511, administered by RCTC in partnership with San Bernardino Associated Governments, serves Inland Empire travelers with real-time traffic for the entire Southern California region, trip planning for bus and rail users, and is the portal for RCTC’s commuter rideshare and employer rideshare programs.
